Today we wanted to really do something for the boys, especially for the way Florence had gone. So we packed up our towels and swimsuits and headed about 10 minutes up the road from the camp to Hydromania.
We thought we were getting an early start, but when we pulled up, it was already very busy. Thankfully the line to get tickets was not to long, but we when we got in we had trouble finding a place to put our things down at. But we finally got settle and began the fun. First stop was the racing waterslides. Brayden was a bit nervous at first because he kept saying he couldn’t swim, but he has been doing really well, so not sure why he is not confident. But once we were in the water, he was good.
The boys wanted to be more adventurous, so we went on these crazy looking slides, Ryan said they looked like DNA the way they were twisted up. So we got up there and thankfully Brayden was tall enough. Danny and Ryan went down first so that Danny could be there to catch Brayden if he needed him and thankfully he was there, because I have not been so scared in my life. Those slides were insane and all I kept thinking was how Brayden was doing because I was getting my but kicked and couldn’t see anything because we were go so fast. When we hit the water I was able to get myself together and look for Brayden, but Danny was already in the water. Surpisingly Brayden did much better than me, lol. He loved it.
We headed through the park and rode many more rides before grabbing lunch, but we quickly realized that people here don’t care about waiting in line and people also don’t care about others cutting even when you have been waiting forever. I surely let people know that it was not alright though and holy crap if you did that in the states you would get your face pounded in. But it is a different culture over here and we did our best not to get too pissed off, but it was really hard when you have been waiting for so long and others think their time is more valuable than yours.
We finished up around 4 at the waterpark and headed back to the campground to get cleaned up and we took a late nap and then headed to dinner and back to the bar again for some drinks and pool with our new Irish friends. Tonight was not going to be too late of a night because it was off to Rome in the morning, which we are really looking forward too. Well we were not planning for it to be a late night, but it was almost 1am before we knew it. Time to get some rest.
RYAN’S CORNER:
Hello again. Whoa look at that slide! Oh sorry. Right now I’m at the waterpark. There are so many slides. I went down this one crazy slide. It looked like D.N.A. It was scary. Brayden even went down it. Dad asked him if he liked it, he said no. He was so freaked out to even answer. There were racing slides. Dad of course every time won. I came in second once. Brayden always came in last. Mommy got second twice, and third twice. This water park is called Hydromania. IT WAS REALLY FUN! Well that is all. HAVE FUN! Adios’. Good bye. Asta lavista baby. SPAGHETTI!
Oh, you are reminding me of some of the things I don't miss from overseas! Yes! Lines don't exist...it's not a common cultural courtesy. Elbows out and push forward and look out for Number 1. That's it. And the whole toll booth part of your story doesn't phase me either, nor the lady's idea of just not addressing it when you got to your campground. Such a different world, still! Glad you enjoyed your water wedgies from the slides!
